Down to Chapmans Pool

Chapmans Pool is an amazing location, but you have to earn it, not so much in the walk there, but coming back. This is only one section of the path leading down to the beach; there are many and they’re all as steep, if not steeper in places.

This is my only photograph from what was supposed to be a week-long photographic road trip, but eventually turned into a one-day trek to the Jurassic Coast as Storm Gareth put pay to any thoughts of serious photography.

After a night trying – and failing – to get some sleep in the van but being continually being buffeted by 35mph gusts, I decided to call it a day and headed back to the comfort of home, with a new appreciation for houses.
