Before I was a “landscape photographer,” I was simply a photographer, or more specifically, someone who found great joy and fulfillment wandering around taking photographs.
On reflection, as my love, passion and tunnel vision for landscape photography has grown and developed over the years, I lost a little of that connection to simply wondering with a camera round my neck and taking photographs as I saw them, a more simplistic, spontaneous approach to photography.
Back in April last year, I wrote about my new Fujifilm X100S and how this magical camera was the answer I was looking for in helping me reconnect back with the pure essence of photography. Not that I sit on my photographs or anything, but around the same time, I took it for our first walk together in the city centre.
Here are my photos from that first photographic walk with my X100S.
